Six-year-old Mia was diagnosed with a brain tumor in March this year, and since then, the Mudgee, Gulgong and surrounding communities have come out in force to support the O'Dwyer family in any way possible.

Although the ride is based around raising funds, before the it even takes off, the event has collected a total of $10,000 to support Mia's family.

For those who want to add to this sum, there are many ways to help out from breakfast to lunch to kids activities to face painting to Mini Mania pony rides to chocolate wheels and auction items.

"All the money raised will 100 per cent go to Mia and her family," organiser of the event, Caz Sabin said.

"Absolutely everything has been donated."

While the event is labeled a 'ride', people are encouraged to participate in the day in any type of vehicle they wish.

The reason for the push to wear blue on the day was not just to match the chilly weather, but because Blue is little miss Mia's favourite colour.

"It would be amazing if everyone could wear blue."

Participants will meet at the Mid-Western Regional Council car park on Short Street at 8.30am with breakfast available.

It will cost $20 to participate in the ride which will leave for Dunedoo at 10.30am.

From Dunedoo, the clan will then head on to the Gulgong Bowling Club at 1pm to meet for lunch while others are encouraged to come along.

The event will go on for the rest of the day at the club with live music on show from 1pm to 7pm.
