It has been clarified that the delays on Church Street this morning, July 10, were part of a planned tree removal as part of the Mudgee Hospital Redevelopment. It is also confirmed that the developer is able to conduct intermittent traffic control as part of this.
Mid-Western Regional Council is not involved in the exercise.
No power lines were brought down as previously reported.

Motorists are reporting that a tree has fallen across the road and may have brought down several power lines with it this morning in Mudgee, creating traffic jams and delays.
The tree has fallen on the road on Church Street just outside the Mudgee Hospital Redevelopment, expect delays if this is part of your morning commute.
It isn't known how the tree came down.
