This weekend's away match - against third placed Macquarie United FC - comes on the back of a wayward 4-2 loss to Westside on the road last Sunday, while undermanned.
Prior to that the side had turned in one of their best performances of the year, putting South Dubbo Wanderers to the sword 4-1. Leading goal scorer Matt Cremona was in his usual form scoring a double, with the returning Joe Peters and James Rogers each getting on the board, on the back of a solid defensive effort.
Now as the season reaches the pointy end, Falcons goalkeeper Greg Reid said it's time to iron out the inconsistencies.
"We're looking pretty secure in second place - it's six points back to MUFC - and looking positive from here if we play our cards right and get our ducks in a row," he said. "We've been guilty of taking our foot off the pedal bit, so if we've got a good lead we need to go on with it - we've been winning games by two or three goals when we could've won by seven. But we'll definitely be trying to finish strongly."
The long rebuilding season for the Falcons women's side has seen them continue to fight valiantly and show exceptional character during tough circumstances.
