Luke Steven Davy, aged 29, of Rous Street, East Maitland, was placed on a 12-month Community Corrections Order and fined a total of $600, for charges of hunting game animal without licence, carrying an unrestrained dog on the back of a moving vehicle, and custody of a knife in a public place.
Cody Michael Lynch, aged 26, of Adelaide Street, Raymond Terrace - who also charged with an additional incident a fortnight prior - was placed on a 12-month Community Corrections Order and fined a total of $2250, for charges of hunting game animal without licence and trespassing.
A third defendant had their charges adjourned to Lithgow Local Court.
On the evening of Saturday, February 23, 2019, Lynch entered a property owned by the Bylong Coal Project to attempt to hunt pigs. At about 10.40pm his ute was filmed leaving the property by the dashcam of a security vehicle.
Then on the evening of Saturday, March 9, Davy, Lynch and the third co-accused, were hunting pigs from roadways of the Bylong Valley Way, Upper Bylong Road, and Woolleys Road. Police patrolling the area - due to illegal hunting activity, including the earlier incident - saw their vehicle shining a spotlight into nearby paddocks.
They said they were looking for a property they had permission to hunt on, but didn't give further details. Two of their six dogs were unrestrained and Davy, who was driving, had several large knives.
No one in the group had a hunting licence.

A Rylstone woman was sentenced to an 18-month Community Corrections Order for an incident, during which she pulled chunks of hair out of the victim's head.
Tamika Norris, aged 21, of Mudgee Street, Rylstone, was charged with 'Assault occasioning actual bodily harm' and 'Destroy or damage property'.
On the evening of Friday, August 17, 2018, Norris and one of the victims had been arguing via text messages, which lead to a demand to "sort it out". A group arrived at the victim's house and Norris began kicking their vehicle, causing damage to a quarter panel.
A second victim exited the house to confront the group, she was then held down and Norris and another co-accused punched her. As the incident was broken up Norris still had hold of the victim's hair and began dragging her, pulling two large chunks out in the process.
The victim also sustained lacerations to her neck and bruising to her face.

A Kandos woman was sentenced for a low-range drink driving charge, resulting from an incident late last year when she crashed through a farm fence.
Cheyanne Gilmour, aged 22, of Dabee Road, Kandos, was fined $500 and disqualified for three months.
At about 1.45am, Sunday, October 21, 2018, she was driving along Dabee Road, near the intersection with Glen Alice Road, when she said she swerved to avoid a kangaroo in the middle of the road.
She lost control of the vehicle, which travelled down an embankment and through a farm fence. Passers-by assisted and called emergency services.
Gilmour was taken to Rylstone Hospital, where a blood sample was taken that showed she had a prescribed concentration of alcohol reading of 0.079. She admitted to drink driving when questioned by police.
