The annual event attracts players from all over, including teams from Sydney, Newcastle and various towns across the Central West making the trek to Glen Willow Stadium last year to claim the cups.
Last year the format was subject to an alteration to accommodate for rugby goers who are more inclined to have a run in the social comps, more so than in the competitive field, and this year is no different.
"We were finding the social teams weren't wanting to come and be beaten by the big Sydney teams so now we have lots of teams coming back," Rugby Sevens vice president Ross Smith said.
