Securing their desired home ground semi-finals spot, the Mudgee Wombats went, fought and came out on top against the Rhinos on Saturday, serving up a 59-22 thrashing at Apex Oval.
Upon arrival, the red and blue outfit were working on tightening up on a 'few little things' such as passing and overall cohesion, and squad captain, Tom Dunstan says while they dipped towards the end of the game, things were coming together.
"We weren't sure what to expect going into the game because teams are always tough at home, but it was a good game, we did start to get scrappy towards the end though," he said.
We improved on the cohesiveness between our backs and forwards which is something to keep building on for the next game.

It's always tough to travel to Blayney, and they are still looking to finish in fourth position so we need to be on our game.
"Everyone get to the burrow for our home semi-finals on Sunday the fourth.
