A man charged with a gratuitous incident of property destruction, was asked when he was going to "grow up" when he was sentenced in Mudgee Local Court.

Corey Hill of Gawthorne Place, Mudgee, was fined $550 and ordered to pay compensation of $300.
At about 12.40am on Sunday, April 7, 2019, Hill was part of a group walking in the Mudgee CBD when he tackled a pot plant inside a half wine barrel, outside of a local pub.
The object was destroyed in the incident, which was captured on CCTV footage.
In his submission to the court, Hill's solicitor Peter Orr mentioned his client's age - prompting Magistrate David Day to question "when is he going to start acting like a 28-year-old?"
"Because he's still acting like a 14-year-old," his honour continued, noting that his criminal record was filled matters relating to "alcohol" and "infantile behaviour".
