David Stewart travelled from Wellington to Mudgee to meet an old school mate who owns a 1931 Rolls Royce 20/25hp.
Together they set off on their journey, staying the night in Capertee and stopping in Rylstone for lunch.
The drivers don't mind getting their hands dirty, as running repairs are often required, hence the self-titled name, "Bush Mechanics."
The Rolls Royce has a colourful history, in London owned by Cybil Colfax a close friend of Wallace Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, whose intended marriage to the British King Edward VIII caused a constitutional crisis, that led to Edward's abduction.
When restoring the leather seats, the owners found an invitation for a dinner party to one Mussolini's important officials.
The trip finished before the nasty weather arrived.
Annual Mini Club Visit
Rylstone will be inundated with a possible 190 Minis on the weekend of August 17.
If you are a Mini fan, all roads lead to Rylstone.
The Mini Car Club of NSW was started over 50 years ago when a bunch of motoring enthusiasts pooled their resources in celebration of the small car that would redefine motoring forever.
Since its humble beginnings the Mini Car Club of NSW has grown to be one of the strongest and most diverse motoring clubs in NSW and now boasts a membership of around 500.
The Club has events and meetings all over NSW.
They really enjoy themselves with all areas of motorsport activities.
Bravery Awards Needed for Stallholders at Rylstone Markets
"You don't have to be mad, but it helps !"
Saturday morning with sleet and sago snow swirling around, the stall holders were at the mercy of the weather gods.
The Portland Coffee caravan, Rotary Club's BBQ, Rylstone Olive Press and the Narromine Green Grocers were established outside the Rylstone Memorial Hall in the windy, chilly conditions.
The public who ventured out and were buying the bacon and egg rolls were appreciated by the Rotarians, who had a special helper last weekend.
Ben, from France was cycling along when he had a flat tyre. He fixed it, then his pump broke.
He was rescued by Marion stayed with the family doing farm work on the property.
Ben has enjoyed the region and will soon set off for Queensland.
He was recently in Tunisia where the temperature was 45 degrees.
The usual stall holders inside the hall were happy and serenaded by 'Bushrock".
