Over 120 students and 25 staff descended on the small school from Hargraves, Hill End, Cassilis, Goolma, Ilford, Ulan and Glen Alice.
Everything had a space or moon theme and the sessions were run by Kelly Vurtis (teacher from Glen Alice PS), Geoff Childs (DET STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) expert, four Mudgee High School students, and Will Lindsay (Ilford Public School principal).
Activities included; flight simulations with paper planes; virtual reality headsets looking at the moon; LEGO robotics creating moon rovers; experiments on gravity; and simulating rocket fuel to launch bottle rockets with vinegar and bicarb soda.
With a barbecue lunch prepared by the P&C.
"MSSN schools come together once each term for a specific subject day," Lue principal, Caron McDonald said.
"Next term we have an art day planned at Glen Alice Public School. It was great to see all students engaged and working together - learning whilst having fun."
