The Prince of Wales Opera House, is owned by the residents of Gulgong. There is no rent to pay, only rates and electricity. Maintenance is done by the volunteers that run it, or if necessary contracted out, paid for by the many shows that it has during the year plus events held during the Henry Lawson Festival.

It would be good for Mudgee to have more than vineyards and coffee shops to explore, while attending the many events that attract so many visitors to this region.
A fundraiser for the Cinema I'm sure would be well supported by the local community to purchase the Cinema, update facilities and make the necessary repairs.
