The Mudgee Guardian was given special access to the store before it reopened so we decided to photograph and film what it looks like fully stocked and free of customers.
The refurbishment took place from August 25 and reopened on September 6, with a new warehouse extension being built and the old storage area being used to expand the store's floorspace.
Area Manager for Mudgee, Jayne King said everything about the store has increased in size.
"We've extended the store, we've gone from 4 to 6 aisles. We've increased our specials holding, that's something that differentiates us from different supermarkets so, we have a huge range of products available to customers," she said.
"We've increased our fruit and veg section, that's something you'll see as soon as you walk into the store. We have a big focus on fresh produce and we've looked at extending some of our other product lines as well.
"There's more freezer space, more floor space and more checkouts. We're really investing into the community."
