It was a lovely start to our Spring meeting with members welcoming two new members bringing our number to 124. Our two new members Tracey Player and Patricia Robinson received their badges from President Helen Rhodes.
Our guest today was Rowena Lewis and her daughter Matilda, from Royston Petrie Seeds in Mudgee. Rowena spoke of her seed business, explain how they sew various varieties for seed production and their flowers for pollination, and the importance of flowers for bees, insects and even blow flies to pollinate various plants. Matilda made insect boxes to encourage them to breed, which hang in different parts of the garden. They gifted everyone with two packets which is beneficial to the health of the plants.
