The six teams have been graded, Mayso's Pro Shop, as minor premiers, heading A grade along with Edmunds Interior Predators and Just Brick It, Stride Health on top in B grade with Hairy Globetrotters and Mudgee Pump Company.
As minor premiers in each grade, Mayso's Pro Shop and Stride Health get a free pass to the grand final on Sunday the 22nd September.
Hairy Globetrotters take on Mudgee Pump Company in the B grade final at 6.30, and will start warm favourites.
Mudgee Pump Company (MPC) have shown a distinct improvement playing against the senior players, but, will have to play smart, and shut out the Hairy Globetrotters with a strong defensive game to get their first victory over a team that has had the wood on them during the competition.
Hairy Globetrotters have the team to go all the way and win the grand final.
They have a number of old heads with a vast amount of experience in their line up, including Martin Howes, Sean Wolfson, Pete Doran and Matt Eyles, and have recently picked up a couple of juniors, Adrian Millsom and Lachlan Mitchell.
Defending A grade champions Edmunds Interior Predators line up against Just Brick It (JBI).
In the first encounter between the two teams, Predators, with only four players prevailed 39-37, indicating JBI had to improve if they were to meet the criteria they set for themselves.
JBI were well off their game in the final clash, Predators leading at every turn to win 45-19, JBI extremely disappointed they could not get their combinations humming to challenge the team they knew they would be opposing in the final.
The elephant in the room for both teams in Monday nights encounter, will be the availability of key players due to work commitments and injuries.
The Predators will boast the likes of Ben Edmunds, Anthony Hamson, Darcy Cronin-Stacy, Nathan Martyn and rising star Declan Kirk, will be a formidable offence to overcome.
Just Brick It will be led by the vastly experienced Adam Coughlan, whose three point shooting, if on song, will be a vital pointer to a win for his team.
To upset Predators though, dominating the rebounding at both ends by Matt Purtell and Hamish Finlayson (if available), against Ben Edmunds will be the key to a Just brick It victory, and if Ethan Millsom, Steve Marshall and Bayley Brown can support their big men with accurate shooting and timely fast breaks off defensive rebounds, Just Brick It just might upset the defending premiers.
Monday, September 16:
