"We wish to put on record our commitment to the Project and our local area," a spokesperson said.
"Kepco is particularly disappointed for all those people who supported the Project and had sought opportunities for jobs, especially those in the Rylstone and Kandos areas where we know people are doing it tough.
"Kepco is currently closely reviewing the IPC's report to determine what options are available following the IPC's decision. Kepco will continue to keep the community informed.
"Kepco will be relocating its Community Information Centre in Mudgee back onsite at Bylong. Kepco Community Liaison Officers continue to be available to talk to local community members and provide information about the Project.
"Kepco remains committed to the Project and would like to express its sincere appreciation to the many local people and organisations who have provided steadfast support throughout the lengthy approval process."
