NPL NSW 1 will have 12 teams once again, while NPL 2 and NPL 3 have been reduced from 14 teams to 12 teams.
The old NSW State League - which had 11 teams - has been re-branded as the new NPL NSW 4, with the competition increasing to 12 teams but dropping four teams.
Western NSW were one of five teams - alongside Camden Tigers, Hawkesbury City, Parramatta and Granville Rage - that were relegated from NPL 3 at the end of the 2019 season.
There was a possibility that the side, formerly known as the formerly Western NSW Mariners, may have been removed from the league structure completely, but the Central West-based side was retained for 2020.
The club will play alongside Camden, Fraser Park, Granville, Hawkesbury, Hurstville, Nepean, Newcastle Jets, Parramatta, Prospect United, South Coast Flame and University of NSW in 2020.
As well as being relegated, the club will no longer use the name "Mariners", after a previous agreement with A-League side Central Coast Mariners expired over 12 months ago and would not be renewed for varying reasons.
One of those reasons was that Western NSW believes was no return in the agreement with Central Coast.
However, the club will still don the same yellow, navy and white colours.
Western NSW's women's side will remain in NPL NSW 2 for next season.
The under 13s, under 14s, under 15s and under 16s sides will play in the NPL 2 NSW Youth competition in 2020, a league that features another 23 teams based in Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle.
Western NSW will also be represented by teams in the boys and girls' Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) competition, for under 9s (boys only), under 10s, under 11s, under 12s and under 13s (girls only) players.
