A Campbelltown man who assaulted a security guard at a Mudgee pub, was sentenced to a 12-month Community Correction Order - a condition of which is that he's prohibited from entering the local township during its duration.

On Monday, Bradley Ross Everett, aged 33, of Stowe Avenue, Campbelltown, was also ordered to perform 63 hours community service work and abstain from alcohol for the period of the order, for the charge of 'Assault occasioning actual bodily harm'.
In the early hours of Saturday, April 27, 2019, Everett was drinking at the location. The man co-accused of the matter was refused entry by security and became belligerent.
Everett chose to become involved in the argument, then refused to leave when asked. He got into close proximity of the victim and a push-and-shove ensued.
Before Everett headbutted the victim's face, causing his nose to bleed heavily - the police facts submitted to the court, indicated that it bled for 18 hours after this. Another security guard was also allegedly assaulted during the incident.
When the matter was before Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, Magistrate David Day rebuked the defendant's actions.
"I was walking past that pub, there's a sign saying 'licensed area', but no sign saying 'come in and assault our security'," he said.
Everett, who represented himself on that day, told the court that he hasn't had alcohol since the incident. To which, Magistrate Day replied, "that's not the issue, the issue is how much you had to drink on the night".
He entered a plea of 'guilty' to the charge and the matter was transferred to Campbelltown Local Court on Monday, September 29, 2019, where it was finalised by Magistrate George Breton.
For his alleged role in the incident, the co-accused was charged with 'Assault occasioning actual bodily harm' and two counts of 'Common assault'. On the July date, he entered pleas of 'not guilty' and the matter has been set down for hearing in Mudgee Local Court on Friday, January 10, 2020.
