Whenever the likeable Kiwi is around there are always some well-placed words and some quotable quotes and he didn't disappoint when he was heard to say: "I made a quality field appear poor today."
Claiming the first prize, Wilton scored 71 Nett to win in a countback from David Evans who must be rueing his final two holes which proved his undoing.
Taking the third place voucher was David Halpin (73c/b) who had the phenomenal achievement of a birdie on the difficult 12th hole.
Ball winners were John Farkas, Jeff Williamson, Bruce Bell, Paul Moore, Rod Wilson, Trish Jones and Colin Todd.
David Evans was able to add to his second place voucher with the NTP Second Shot on the seventh hole.
