The Ducati bike's thumping beat
Shared my heart in anguished flurry
My hot-blooded western hurry
A sparse town, seldom shady
Through distanced country
Is my lady,
Cruelly imprisoned from me.
Throttled fast seeming slow
Into the day together we flow.
Mechanical unison for one cause
Disregarding public laws.
Time shifts abruptly, meeting town
Startling dust, speed comes down.
Leathered body, heating fast
In my arms, my lady at last.
Metallic heart cools and rests.
Ready for the future quests.

Monkey Business
I want to be a monkey
Climbing all the trees
Swinging on the branches
Dancing in the breeze.
I know my Mum will miss me
Gosh it would be fun
Picking all the fruit to eat
Sleeping in the sun.
Will leave a note to tell her
Where I plan to go
I won't be away too long
Just have a monkey show
Perhaps I'll put my dream on hold
Too much worry for my Mum
While I'm out enjoying myself
She'll be worried about her son.
