The Pink Up Mudgee 2019 Community Event on Saturday launched another year of local support for the McGrath Foundation and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Each year it's getting bigger and better and the support for the foundation has been absolutely incredible.
Special guest Glenn McGrath said the event that started the 'Pink Up Your Town' initiative has a feeling of "community" that makes a difference.
"Each year it's getting bigger and better and the support for the foundation has been absolutely incredible. Never in our wildest dreams could we have expected to be here," he said.
And added that it gives them hope for adding to their 135 breast care nurses.
"We've done a bit of a needs assessment and worked out that we need to almost double our nurses to 250 in about three years," he said. "Which we think is achievable, because of this support."
The highly-anticipated Mudgee Pink Races was also a hit - with scores of punters turning out to show their style and contribute to the cause. One of the highlights of the day was being able to bid on the experience of facing an over of cricket, delivered by Glenn McGrath himself.
