It was Cancer Awareness day with members and guests dressing in Pink. We commenced the day with our meeting followed by lunch and our speaker.

We had one new member June Frank who received her badge from Helen.
We drew the raffles early in the day as some members were leaving to attend a funeral. Lucky door prize was green C57.
First Raffle draw Green A72 won by Trish Staples. Second Green A76 won by Judy Rowbotham. Third and fourth Black D 82 and Black D84 were won by Margaret King.
Our guest speaker was Tony McKendry who gave us a very informative talk and especially how important it was to check for any changes in our own bodies to enable us to spot a likely chance of cancer or moles.
Chris Turner presented Tony with a gift bag of goodies.
VIEW stands for Voice, Interest and Education of women and we raise money for the sponsoring of disadvantaged children through their schooling.
We had some more reading rugs to adds to our stock for the Learning for Life in Dubbo, thank you ladies for your lovely work on these rugs.

Our next luncheon/meeting day is on the Friday, November 1 which will be our Melbourne Cup Day so dress up and wear your fascinators and your creative hats to parade, and may be picked as the best of the day.
