Mananya Simpson of Harris Street, Trangie, pleaded guilty to the charge 'Furnish false information/statement to licensee'.
On Friday, March 29, 2019, the 40-year-old woman pawned the phone for $150 at a store in Dubbo.
Her Mudgee-based employer reported it stolen at the local police station on Monday, June 17, and after difficulty tracking her down she was questioned and charged in August.
Simpson's legal-aid solicitor, Monica Wilson, told the court that her client didn't fully understand the contract because part of her wage come out for the phone.
Magistrate David Day said that a conviction was necessary, because of a prior matter of "serious dishonesty" on her record.
