$85,000 worth of funding is up for grabs for Dubbo electorate's sporting facilities as part of the latest round of the NSW Government's Local Sport Grant Program.

Funding will be handed out with the objective to increase participation levels, address barriers to participation or structured physical activity, assist with the providing of quality service, and increase the number of well-managed facilities that meet the needs of participants.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders says all sporting groups should apply, including those residing in Mudgee, to further better sport in the region.
"There are so many clubs in our region that can take advantage of this opportunity to increase participation in sport and active recreation," he said.

$2,000 will be available for sport development, $5,000 for community sport events, $5,000 for sport access, and $15,000 for facility development.
The Local Sports Grant Program closes on the November 25, 2019 and applications can be made at https://sport.nsw.gov.au/localsport.
