Rotary International President-elect Ian H.S. Riseley recently made the call to encourage all Rotary districts to assist with protecting the environment and curbing climate change, and district 9670 responded.

Mudgee's district welcomed their American counterparts for the planting of the Cupressus Cashmeriana tree, and Mudgee Sunrise president Joy Adams said they couldn't be 'happier'.
"We have a friendship exchange program and our district, 9670, went to Dan's district (5610) in June," she said.
We decided we wanted to have an official opening so we waited until these guys came so we could do it together.

"We were very happy to be able to do the tree unveiling while district 5610 were here."
Dan Little from district 5610, South Dakota, said being a part of the exchange is much more than clubs coming together, it's the igniter of friendships.
"We were excited to be here as part of the tree planting," Little said.
It's been fun to get the chance to see our Australian friends. Mudgee is excellent, it's nice and warm but we sure hope it rains for you one of these days.
