Police are appealing for assistance from the public following a report of a child being approached in Coolah.

At approximately 5.45pm on Monday, October 28, three 12-year-old girls were walking along Booyamurra Steet, Coolah when a utility came to a stop in front of them.
Police were informed the sole occupant of the vehicle wound down the window and spoke to the girls.
The three girls ignored the man and immediately reported the incident to their parents who notified the police.
The man is believed to be approximately 50 to 60 years old with fair skin, a full beard with no moustache, and was driving a blue 4WD dual-cab utility with a canopy on the back at the time.
Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District have commenced inquiries into the matter.
