SkillForce500 focuses on developing skilled individuals that ultimately contribute to the productivity of the region's businesses.
Late last month, Skillset staff from across the Central West, including Mudgee, paid a visit to local businesses in order to create campaign awareness and assist with the identification of skills that could be utilised in order to grow a business.
Skillset general manager Jane McWilliam said taking on an apprentice or trainee will not only be a benefit, but also for the wider community.
"For businesses interested in adding an apprentice or trainee to your team, not only do you gain an extra pair of hands, but you are helping create the foundation for much needed skills for the future," she said.
