The session will be held at 6pm, Wednesday, November 13, at Oak Tree Retirement Village, 15 Meramie Street, Mudgee [Carleon estate].
It's an opportunity to learn about what the event entails - how to plan for it, get tips for fundraising and getting your team starting. Teams that are are already registered can also collect team shirts, raffle books and donation boxes.
The 2020 Mudgee and District Relay For Life - to take place at Victoria Park on the weekend of April 4-5 - will a 25-hour relay, because Daylight Savings time ends that night. The theme is "Give Cancer the Boot".
Funds raised are invested into Cancer Council's research as well as support programs for local people affected by cancer such as Transport to Treatment, Living Well After Cancer, the 13 11 20 helpline, and community action/prevention programs.
