The weather warmed up and so did the quality of the winners' scores in the Mudgee Veterans' 18 hole Medley Stableford as Alex Nicholson (40 points) claimed the first prize voucher.

Nicholson only had one hiccup in his round and stormed home with a very positive back nine.
Claiming second prize was Rod Wilson (38) who showed great consistency as he amassed his points with no blemishes on his score card.
Taking third place was Barry Hadaway (37) who showed wonderful ball-striking to record 15 pars and three bogeys in a classy performance.
Fourth place went to big hitting Barry Peterson (36c/b) who is returning to golf after quite a few years out of the game.
Ball winners were Merrie Llewelyn, Keith Baker, Bruce Bell, Paul Moore, Trish Jones, Graham Cross, David Evans, John Farkas and David Evans.
The sharp-shooter's award was Barry Hadaway whose chip shot finished a mere 28cm from the target.
