How fireproof is your plan?
By attending you will learn; to appreciate just how dangerous a bushfire near you can be; to prepare your very own Bush Fire Survival Plan; to prepare your property and your family to better survive a bushfire; and where to find information about fires in your area.
All you need to bring is a pen (for documenting your own plan). Everything else is supplied for this two-hour session.
Book your place now at: mwrclibrary.eventbrite.com.
Summer Reading Program
We will be launching our Summer Reading Program, 'Fantastic Beasts', on Monday, December 2, at all library branches.
Participants will be challenged to read for 60 days in 60 ways. Stories are everywhere, waiting to be discovered, so pop into a branch and register now to receive your kit.
The kit will contain fun activities and a variety of ways to earn extra tickets in the prize draw, which will be held at 4pm on Monday, February 3, at Mudgee Library.
Voices of Women
Come on an adventure in 2020 for the third Voices of Women.
All Australian women writers are invited to submit short pieces in the first person - narrative, monologues, soliloquy - to be performed by trained actors in rehearsed readings.
The 2020 Adventure is called CLEARWAY: create the space. It has an open theme and all topics are considered.
For more information about this annual writer's competition and to submit your work please visit voiceswomen.com/call-for-writers-2020/.
