Benton Harris of Florence Close, Mudgee, was fined $880 and disqualified for a month to be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
The 27-year-old was travelling along the Ulan Road, when police watched him enter the roundabout with Lue Road and Pitts Lane and drive over the left-hand curb.
He admitted to drinking and a roadside test was positive. He was taken to Mudgee Police Station where a breath analysis of 0.115 was recorded.
Magistrate David Day noted that the defendant had been stopped in Bombira, which he said was "worrying" because he was headed for a higher speed stretch of road. However, added "but it was just on the outskirts".
Also, because Harris has been suspended since charged four months ago, "he's being driven by his workmates, who I suspect will be getting a bit cheesed at this point".
Raymond Norman Loughlin of Cainbil Street, Gulgong, was sentenced to a 12-month Community Corrections Order and disqualified for a month to be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
He recorded a breath analysis of 0.104 at Gulgong Police Station after testing positive to a random breath test in Bulga Street at about 10.05pm.
"That was a busy night for police, two PCAs in two different towns," Magistrate Day said. His honour went on to say that the 76-year-old man's dilemma is his previous drink driving matters, and that he "should've known better".
"You can't keep doing this, even in a town like Gulgong that has no taxis. The great bulk of citizens know about RBT from television - you've been there," he said.
