200 Bales is already the beneficiary of any money raised at the Festival of Snags (November 30), so the extra money is appreciated.
In a post that's been shared over 100 times since its posting, Glenn Box announced the donation on the official 200 Bales Facebook page.
Hay, Hay, Hay.....WOTIF the value of a cancelled fireworks display was converted to hay?
Over 50 Large Rounds Bales!!
That's Wot
The promoters of this weekends Mudgee Snag Fest have just confirmed they are donating the value of the cancelled fireworks display to 200 Bales to purchase more feed to support farmers in our region.
That's a great gesture and very much appreciated.

Glenn Box said said when he contacted the Wotif team - they had already made the conscious decision to cancel the fireworks.
"So it was sort of timely. But you know, to turn it into a 10,000 windfall for 200 Bales is pretty amazing really. I was pretty stoked when I took the phone call yesterday," Glenn said.
According to Glenn, the $10,000 will be used to buy 50 large, round bales of hay. 'About one b-double load.'
Let's face it, $1200 bucks doesn't go far at Christmas time but it can make a small difference.

Managing Director of Wotif, Daniel Finch said the decision was an easy one to make.
"Wotif has made a conscious decision to cancel the fireworks and instead donate $10,000 to 200 Bales. With much of the region doing it tough with the ongoing drought, Wotif felt it was only right to support those in need. Wotif are looking forward to celebrating with the community this weekend at the inaugural Festival of Snags," Daniel said.
"It became clear to us at Wotif that 200 Bales is an extremely meaningful local initiative, doing their best to support farmers and landholders. Run by a small team of Mudgee locals, Wotif is privileged to be able to raise awareness and support this much needed cause, which helps drought affected landholders and farmers feed their stock,"
"Fundraising profits collected at The Festival of Snags by the Lions Club will also go to 200 Bales. Fundraising activities on Saturday include a meat tray raffle and gold coin donations. The Lions Club will also sell limited edition Wotif and Festival of Snags merchandise such as t-shirts, stubby coolers, caps and picnic blankets, with profits going back to 200 Bales."
Glenn said as 200 Bales has evolved, they've better learned where they can best direct their efforts when donating bales.
"Leading into Christmas, this time of year, if we can allocate six bales to a local family, well that's $1200 that can be freed up to do something else for them," Glenn said.
"Let's face it, $1200 bucks doesn't go far at Christmas time but it can make a small difference,"

"We won't say no to anyone but we've started to softly discourage hobby farmers. People that have another income rather than relying on their farm to survive,"
"We've got a couple of people on the books that have gone and sold their investment properties - which was their superannuation - and it's all gone. So after these three years of continually feeding their stock they've a lot of them have lost their life savings which is hard to swallow."
