Joshua Blake Mason, of Durack Court, Mudgee, was fined $110 for the charge of 'Common assault'.
Between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Sunday, September 29, 2019, Mason confronted the victim at Mudgee's Flirtation Hill lookout.
After yelling at the pair, he slapped the victim across the face.
When the matter was reported to police, they formed the opinion that Mason must've thought to attend the location after using the map feature on the Snapchat app.
Upon reading this is in the police facts submitted to court for sentence, Magistrate David Day raised the matter of the 28-year-old tracking his then-partner.
Mason - who represented himself in court - denied doing this.
His honour further inquired, "it's just got me boggled how you ended up there, is Flirtation Hill popular?"
To which, the defendant replied that he eats there regularly with friends.
