Growing up in a regional town, professional cricket coach, Shaun Brown experienced first hand the shortage of learning opportunities offered to young cricketers outside of the city lights - the inspiration behind the Shaun Brown's Cricket Coaching (SBCC) clinics.

SBCC has since made countless trips out to regional NSW, including stops at Bathurst, Orange and Mudgee.
2013 was the first year the SBCC was brought to the Mid-Western Region and Brown says they will be returning for their seventh installment in 2020.
"We've got a history of running cricket camps all around Australia and not just in cities, but also in the country," he said.
"We initially went to the Central West and ran some clinics at Bathurst and Orange which were a very big success ... so Mudgee was just a natural extension.
Mudgee isn't the biggest town but we really enjoy being able to bring out former test cricket stars to the town which hopefully will inspire younger players.

Next year's clinic will feature former test cricketers, Dave Gilbert and Len Pascoe, both of whom are highly regarded by Brown.
"Dave Gilbert was only until recently the CEO of Cricket NSW, so not only has he been a successful cricketer, but also successful off field," Shaun said.
Len Pascoe is a legend of NSW cricket and a very popular Australian player, so they're both very good people.
"I'm very lucky to have the coaches we have who are very generous with their time and are very good with the kids."
The clinic is offered to players from the age of six until 16 with groups across the two day camp being formed on the basis of age and ability, and Brown says; "this way no one misses out."
Brown affirms that while it may seem as though the event attracts groups of people, the numbers rather are predominantly made up by a stack of individual attendance.
"A lot of people go to the cricket camp on their own, it's not like everybody is going with a group of friends, 80 per cent would be coming by themselves," he said.
"Sometimes we find the ones who are most nervous on day one become the most excited by the end of it.
The cricket camps are about learning about cricket and meeting test cricketers and improving your game, but it's also a great chance to interact with some people of your own age with the potential for lots of friendships to be made.
The Shaun Brown's Cricket Coaching clinic will be held on January 14 and 15, 2020 at Victoria Park, Mudgee with a 9am start.
