With the state struggling with drought - and all of the economic knock-on effects that go with it - the ride's beneficiaries St Vinnie's and and Banardos need all the assistance they can get to help locals who are doing it tough.
So that was the message in 2019. Because now more than ever there'll be people struggling during the Festive Season.
Also making news:
And the Toy Run delivered and a new fundraising benchmark at that, with $9,310 in the kitty at the end of the weekend.
Upwards of 200 motorbikes and cars in the parade as the ride moved through Church Street on Saturday morning.
With 160 registering for the dice run.
This year's Toy Run went from Mudgee to Bylong, via Wollar, and then on to Lue.
A barbecue lunch was provided by the Bylong Rural Fire Service, which raised $1,100 that was donated to the brigade.
One of the organisers, Jane Hanna, said that it was an overwhelming level of support that the event received, with many recognising that it's financial assistance that will help those in need in the current conditions.
"We had a record of about $8,000 one year, but this year we raised $9,300 - which is just mind-blowing," she said.
"It was really special and being the 35th year too it was massive."
"This year we pushed the message that this was for St Vincent de Paul, not just for the Christmas period and toys, it was also cash injections to help them help people struggling with the drought.
"Because St Vinnie's also support people with things like utility bills and children's education.
"But you just can't say enough about the generosity of people. We ran an auction at the Lue Hotel, with goods that had been donated, and that raised $1,600 alone.
"It was really special and being the 35th year too it was massive."
As for the event's namesake, the toys, Jane said that too was well supported with a couple of car-loads still likely when collecting from Mudgee's main drop-off point at the Property Shop.
