This is the work of the new owners the Ahmedi Family.
Already changes have been made with the installation of a huge meat fridge filled with every cut of meat you could imagine from wagyu to sausages.
The meat is supplied fresh daily by DMC Meat and Seafood of Dubbo.
Mark Knaggs from DMC said "All our meat is sourced locally from the Dubbo and Dunedoo area that is why we can supply it fresh on a daily basis" Mark said.
Also making news:
The left hand side of the store is currently being renovated with a new floor and walls.
When completed this area will hold all the fresh produce including all fresh fruit and vegetable which will be sourced from Harris Farm.
There will be a deli and the meat refrigeration which will be twice as big as the new fridge recently installed.
With the new area holding all the fresh produce there will be room for at least another two aisles which means many more grocery lines.
We will be price competitive and have weekly savings in all departments.
The Managers Imran and Ghaz Ahmedi are passionate young men and with a great deal of money being spent on the Gulgong store their objective is to make the Gulgong IGA a supermarket that the town can be proud of.
Ghaz said "If there is something that our customer wants they only have to ask and we will do our best to source it for them,"
"We will be price competitive and have weekly savings in all departments." He said.
The driving force behind these two extraordinary young men is their Father Shakeel who has been working in the Supermarket industry for the past twenty years with his IGA Store in Kandos.
Imran said his father's philosophy is to reinvest back into the store making it the best it can be.
