"Women on the land are the unsung heroes of regional Australia. They face the challenges of the land, the unpredictability of nature, the impact of external forces plus they have to keep their families together," Roxanne Wilshire, foundation director, said.
"They are the glue that holds whole communities together - they work through the good times and endure the hard times and we certainly appreciate all that they do.
"At Kinship At Christmas, we would like to acknowledge in a small way the amazing efforts of wives and mothers of the land.
"Our gift is a sign of appreciation to them all, of their resilience, of their devotion to family and the inspiration they give us all. These incredibly strong women are the backbone of rural Australia.
"We are very grateful to Family First Credit Union for their assistance in our efforts. We know they care about the women in rural communities and we are proud to partner with them in this Christmas gift giving."
