The Geoff O'Brien (Quirindi) trained gelding galloped to gold in the Montrose Mudgee Cup Day Sprint Showcase (1200 metres) in what jockey, Mathew Cahill says was a fairly even field.
"It was a pretty even race, every horse in the race had an even chance," he said.
It looks like he's come back in good order so onwards and upwards.

While O'Brien was confident the seven-year-old would take the trophy, Cahill says the race went differently to what he had initially thought.
"It was his first run back from a long spell, he's better form is in longer distances so his trainer was confident he'd run well fresh and he did," Cahill said.
He jumped and travelled nice, we got a nice run through at the top of the straight. He knuckled down really well in the last 200 of the race.
"I thought he would be further back than he was but he raced closer than I thought. That's probably because he was so fresh."
The Crockett pair were in it to win it as well but fell short with Cameron Crockett's (Scone) Ori On Fire taking third, while Chery Crockett (Mudgee) product, Bravissimo came in seventh.
