The event itself is on the weekend of April 4-5 at Victoria Park and will also be the first 25-hour relay in the state - due to daylight savings ending that evening and the clocks turning back an hour.
It will be the 11th local Relay - the first in 2003 - and if it hits the $91,827.14 mark, the total amount raised throughout the history of the Mudgee District event will reach one million dollars.
A milestone figure in helping to reach a cancer free future and assist local people who are disadvantaged through their diagnosis.
Furthermore, it's a community event to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those lost, with teams taking turns walking (or running, if you feel like it) the track.
Stay up to date at the Mudgee Relay Facebook page.
- Registration and more information at cancercouncil.org.au/mudgeerelay and before January 4, Early Bird registration is $20 plus a free fundraiser t-shirt.
