In an already dangerous situation across the state - for people, property and the environment - police are reminding reminding drone users that flying near emergency operations, including bushfires, will increase the danger.

The NSW Police Force is asking the community not to fly drones in the vicinity of bushfire-affected areas or over other emergency operations, as it poses a major safety risk to response teams both in the air and on the ground.
They said that while it may be tempting to put the drone up to take footage for news or your information, doing so could break the drone safety rules and impact on firefighting or rescue efforts.
As emergency services can't fly in an area where there's a drone, which could potentially be putting someone's life at risk.

Rain late Monday afternoon and overnight has provided some relief across firegrounds in the region, including at Kerry Ridge.
However, residents and landholders in the vicnity of this fire are urged to not become complacent, with significant work still required over the coming days/weeks to bring this fire to containment.
