Samantha Louise Mack of Table Top Road, Thurgoona, was fined $440 and disqualified for three months.
The 24-year-old was stopped by police on the Goolma Road at Gulgong in order to conduct random breath and drug testing, at about 11.30am on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
Cocaine was detected and she was transported to Mudgee Police Station where a secondary sample was taken, which confirmed the presence of the drug following laboratory analysis.
Mack told officers, "I had some coke last night". She was charged with 'Drive vehicle illicit drug present in blood etc'.
When she failed to appear in Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, Magistrate David Day noted that she had prior interstate convictions on her record.
In 2018 cocaine was added to the list of drugs subject to roadside testing in NSW, which already included cannabis, ecstasy and methamphetamine.
At the time, the NSW Government also announced that they intended to double the number of roadside drug tests from 100,000 a year to 200,000 a year by 2020.
"We need to ensure that drivers are not impaired and a risk to others on the road," Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.
