I would like to know why the Mid-Western Regional Council has done nothing about drinking water access for rural residents, with hotter, drier conditions looking more and more likely into the future.

There is no shelter at the emergency potable water access points, there is often a queue for water and mud and potholes to stand in, and there are no delivery services besides private carting services which charge up to ten times the price of town water.
How is this fair for rural residents?
People forget that the council works for us, not the other way around. If residents deem water access and delivery for rural residents at a fair price to be of high importance, then the Mid-Western Regional Council should be providing these services, regularly, not just in conditions of an extreme nature.
13 million dollars to upgrade Glen Willow with more fields that will require more watering at a time when rural residents are carting water in small amounts to their properties daily, or waiting weeks for extremely expensive private deliveries of such a vital resource, which is often taken for granted when it is as simple as turning on a tap in town.
