Here are some examples of towns doing well with their theatres. Tumut with the Montreal Theatre, population 6,000 and one hour from Wagga, Leeton with the Roxy, population 11,100 and one hour from Wagga, Young with the Southern cross theatre, population 7,100 and 1.5 hours from Wagga.
Mudgee population: 12,400 and 1.5 hours from Dubbo.

A multipurpose venue here is very viable, take your blinkers off people.
The bowling alley was closed before 2009 I believe because the owner was ill.
The population has grown since then and social media make marketing for events much easier. I wish people would stop think of the Regent theatre to be run as just a cinema.
If run properly it can be very successful.
