The four-wicket loss leaves the locals in the middle of the Western Zone Premier League table, with two wins and two losses.

Midwest downed Cowra in Round 2 in October and made it back-to-back victories with a win over Parkes in Gulgong, last time out in December.

However, they opened the 2019/20 competition with a loss to the now second-placed Dubbo in the in the first round.

They next play Orange in Round 5, at Wade Park, on Sunday, February 2.

The Midwest is the new combined representative side, made of up players from the new Midwest cricket competition covering Mudgee, Gulgong, Goolma and Coolah teams. With the representative colours being maroon and royal blue in a nod to both Mudgee and Gulgong Cricket Associations.

For the visitors, the win on Sunday extended Bathurst's unbeaten run in the 2019-20 Western Zone competition to four games and assures it a place in the decider regardless of results in the final round, when they host Parkes.
