Round 11 of the Midwest cricket competition saw the Coolah Hurricanes keep the Centennial Vikings at arm's length for a victorious trip to Gulgong on Saturday.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Shaun Burgess lead the way with 51 and was matched as the top scorer by Dean Pike, with Steve Gilbert (27), Kyle Baldwin (24) and Ant Heathcote (20 n.o) all chipping in to set 189 for victory.
While Vikings Jesse Sahyoun (2-21 off three), Steve Haney (1-19 off eight, with four maidens), Luke Norris (1-32), Dion Hollow (1-16), and Brad Mitchell (1-20) tried their best to keep them at bay.
The home side were all out for 136 in reply. There were good knocks from Norris (44) and Jason Hollow (31), but they lost four for ducks and three more to paltry figures.
Sam Wesley (2-13 off six), Hugh Wesley (1-21 off five), Troy Clarke (1-22 off five, with a maiden) and Logan Pike (1-34 off eight), ripped through the top order. Before Craig Schnieder (2-18 off eight) and Kyle Baldwin (2-23 off six) cleaned up the tail, to be all done in 38 overs.
Mudgee Tiges won on forfeit over Bowlers Bullets and Goolma Polar Bears had the bye.
Meanwhile in Mudgee cricket, Centennial Colts posted 158 and defeated Woolpack, who managed 151. Trevor Seis (50 n.o) and Brad Honeysett (38 n.o) starred with the bat for Colts, with Stephen McGrath taking 2-22 off five.
Woolpack's Steve Madden made 36 and John Madden 29, while Colts' Olive Hollow took 3-15 off five and S Sharma 2-27 off four.
Only three Federal batsmen were sent packing when the side reeled in the total of 126 set by Kelly's Irish pub. Josh Edwards posted 42 for Kelly's, with Federal's Tully Myers and Finn Myers took 2-21 off five and 2-15 off two, respectively.
Finn Myers then added 38 at the crease, with Matt Nutley (39 n.o) steering the side home. Bailey Rowe took 2-31 off five for Kelly's.
Ben Gardner's 54 n.o and Matt Orr's 46 helped Paragon Hotel to a 92-run win over Ori Bulls. Paddy Morse (4-16 off five) and Tim Rava (2-21 off five) did turn in solid figures for the Bulls, however the side fell apart with the bat - Rod Morten scoring 15.
With the ball, Paragon's Will Browne took 3-18 off five and Royce Flynn had a tight 2-5 off three.
