Less than a year after giving birth to twins, star Melbourne AFLW midfielder Daisy Pearce is back in the Demons' line-up.
The Demons captain has been named to play in a practice match against Collingwood at Olympic Park Oval on Saturday.
She hasn't turned out for Melbourne since their March 2018 clash with the Western Bulldogs.
Pearce and partner Ben O'Neill welcomed twins Sylvie and Roy into the world last February.
"I played full minutes in an intra-club (match) we had ... but this will be my first actual hit-out against opposition," she said.
"This is why we play, so I can't wait."
All 14 teams - including newcomers Gold Coast, West Coast, Richmond and St Kilda - will take part in practice matches this weekend.
The home-and-away season kicks off on February 7 when the Tigers play Carlton under lights at IKON Park.
Melbourne will tackle North Melbourne in a blockbuster the following day at Casey Fields.
Meanwhile, the Western Bulldogs have named premiership midfielder Ellie Blackburn as sole captain following Katie Brennan's shock switch to Richmond.
"I've been with the Western Bulldogs since our AFL Women's team's inception, and it not only holds a special place in my heart, but also a place I absolutely love being a part of," Blackburn said.
