Locals were joined by shooters from Sydney, Dubbo, Central Coast, Gunnedah and Scone, to get their eye-in on some quality targets and get the gun moving prior to the first NSW State Selection shoot for 2020.
The two-day event is slated to take place over the weekend of February 8 and 9 at Mudgee.
Craig Kurtz, Ross Christian and Scott King were the designated range captains for Sunday and certainly did not disappoint those in attendance.
As it is simulated field, shooting all types of targets were on offer - including rabbits, battue, springing teals, and more. All there to test the clay target shooting abilities of those who attended.
Dubbo gunsmith Peter Kay took full advantage of the day, shooting a credible 96/104.
A grade shooter Craig Kurtz shot 82, B grade - John Dickey 80, C grade - Frank Bodnar 58, Seniors - Stephen Tydd 87, Veterans - Ross Christian 82, Ladies - Mel King 75, Juniors - Jack Roth 85, Sub-Juniors - Ike Starr 59.
The club has been fortunate to receive some much-needed rain in recent weeks, so there's a green tinge starting to appear.
Shooters will start to roll in on Friday, February 7, in preparation for that weekend in the hope of gaining valuable points in the team rankings.
