Shannon Percy Hacking of Cobra Street, Mendooran, was also disqualified for three months, which will be followed by a 12-month interlock period.
The 49-year-old was stopped by police for random breath testing at about 10.10pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019, in Mendooran.
Officers noted that there were four passengers in the vehicle at the time, furthermore that Hacking smelt of alcohol and appeared to be moderately affected and slurring his words.
A roadside breath test was positive and he was arrested and taken to Dunedoo Police Station, where a breath analysis of 0.113 was recorded.
He admitted to them that he'd consumed eight schooners of beer throughout the evening, between approximately 6pm and 10pm, without any food.
Hacking pleaded guilty to the charge of 'Drive with middle range PCA (Prescribed Concentration of Alcohol)', in court on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
His solicitor, Richard Wise, submitted that while his client did have his family in the vehicle at the time of the offence he was only driving a short distance.
Magistrate David Day reiterated "everyone is affected over 0.1" and noted that the defendant has prior matters on his record, including when he'd received clemency of the court.
"He has two previous offences, one he was convicted of, the other he wasn't - this is his third," he said. "Maybe he should've reflected more closely on what he's doing when consuming alcohol."
