Mudgee's newest foodie and coffee hub, LKB Little Kick Back has been open for business since January 6 and the owners say the response so far has been encouraging.
Glenn Masling, who co-owns the business with his father Allan, says the inspiration behind the business venture were families and being able to offer a relaxing space for all.
"We wanted to try and create a little spot for everyone to come out and enjoy," Glenn said.
"Having a big family of my own I know how hard it is to find somewhere you can go out. There's nowhere else in town you can go to and not have to tell the kids to not run around, out here it's pretty laid back.
It just gives people somewhere to sit outside and relax, enjoy the day, there's no rush.

While the menu features some of the classics such as cajun chicken burgers and open steak sandwiches, Masling says options will change as the seasons do.
Feedback so far has been positive for LKB with Glenn and his crew actively taking on all comments received.
"We've had good comments so far, I think everyone who has come out here has enjoyed it, there's more positive than negative that's for sure," he said.
There are hopes of a selection of events to be held at LKB throughout the year with something already in the works.
"We've got something in the pipeline that we're putting through soon," he said.
Once we get on our feet, I think we will start having a function every two to three months.
LKB Little Kick Back can be found at 83 Lions Drive, Mudgee and is open on weekdays from 6am to 3pm, and 8am to 3pm on weekends.
