Hutchinson Builders, the contractor for $70.7m Mudgee Hospital redevelopment, have been actively involved in the local community and completed two community projects whilst the redevelopment has been underway.
They supported the Mudgee PCYC with the upgrade of the Pool Gym Corridor and kitchen, as well as supporting the Mudgee Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) with the erection of a large sheltered space for meetings and workshops at Munna Reserve.
"The value of hospitals to their communities extends far beyond healthcare and this is a perfect example of that," Mr Saunders said.
"Redevelopments such as this one at Mudgee Hospital provide positive economic and social flow-on effects within regional communities.
Not only is there a new hospital coming but Hutchinsons have worked with the community to help with other projects as well."
The investment in health infrastructure in Mudgee is providing the community with a much needed boost, particularly as the community faces the ongoing challenges of the drought.
Local Land Services
Farmers across the State are battling the worst drought on record, and now the devastating bushfires have dealt them yet another blow.
This is why it is more important than ever to have strong voices on our Local Land Services board.
With so many people in Bathurst who are skilled and passionate about land management, I expect it will attract experienced candidates with a variety of skills.
I encourage anyone who is eager to contribute at a local level to nominate for a board position before February 28 2020.
To nominate as a candidate visit www.austelect.com.au or www.lls.nsw.gov.au and download a candidate information package and nomination form.
