Officers from the NSW Police rural crime division say the incident occurred between February 1 and 8.
"Police from Rylstone are investigating the deliberate damage of a water pipe on a rural property on the Bylong Valley Way at Rylstone," State Rural Crime Co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
"Person/s unknown trespassed onto the property and cut a water pipe from a dam causing the water to drain."
Detective Inspector Whiteside has called on anyone with information about this incident to contact Rylstone Police Station on 6379 1000 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
