I asked them what was the secret to a long marriage.
Ken said "A good clean living life with no smoking, no drinking and no other women".
Ester cut in and said "It's the tender loving care I have given him".
After 73 years together and having raised seven children they still have their sense of humour.
Congratulations to you both.
Gulgong Little Athletics success at regional championships
On February 1-2 the Gulgong Little Athletics Club had 23 athletes compete in the Regional Championships in Dubbo.
They competed in 66 events with 18 athletes gaining their personal bests in their events which was a great result considering the very hot and dusty conditions.
The results were no surprise to the committee members as the athletes have trained hard over the Christmas holidays.
We had six athletes gain medals.
They were Aiden Barnes (u11), first in the 100 meters and 200 meters, Bryson Allen (u9) first in the 400 meters, Kayla Forster (u13) third high jump, Haylee Forster (u10) third 200 meters, Olivia Papworth (u15) third 90 meters hurdles and Harrison Crouch (u13) 80 meters hurdles.
There were also other athletes who just missed out on a medal by coming fourth in their event.
For Aiden and Bryson they will now be heading to compete in the State Championships in March.
